Miss Lucy Had a Baby

Miss Lucy had a baby
She named him Tiny Tim
She put him in the bath tub
To see if he could swim

But he drank up all the water
He ate up all the soap
He tried to eat the bathtub
But it wouldn’t fit down his throat
la, la, la, la, la, la, la, la, la, la, la, la, la

(verse)
Miss Lucy called the doctor
Miss Lucy called the nurse
Miss Lucy called the lady
With the alligator purse.

The mumps! says the doctor
Measles! says the nurse
Nothing! says the lady
With the alligator purse
la, la, la, la, la, la, la, la, la, la, la, la, la

(verse)
Now I dont want the doctor
And I dont want the nurse
And I dont want the lady
With the alligator purse

So out walks the doctor
So out walks the nurse
And out walks the lady
With the alligator purse
la, la, la, la, la, la, la, la, la, la, la, la, la

la, la, la, la, la, la, la, la, la, la, la, la, la

.another variant

Miss Lucy had a baby
His name was Tiny Tim
She put him in the bathtub
To see if he could swim

He drank up all the water
He ate up all the soap
He tried to eat the bathtub
But it wouldn’t go down his throat

Miss Lucy called the doctor
Miss Lucy called the nurse
Miss Lucy called the lady
With the alligator purse

In came the doctor
In came the nurse
In came the lady
With the alligator purse

“Measles” said the doctor
“Mumps” said the nurse
“Nonsense” said the lady
With the alligator purse

“Penicillin” said the doctor
“Aspirin” said the nurse
“Pizza” said the lady
With the alligator purse

Out came the doctor
Out came the nurse
Out came the lady
With the alligator purse
