Trio for Three Angles

Trio for Three Angles (1968)

A short animated film exploring through purely visual means the defining characteristics of the three basic types of triangles. There is no narration; only geometry, movement, and music. “Trio” received much acclaim, and was awarded a gold medal at the 6th International Scientific Film Festival in Buenos Aires in 1969.

They later produced three more triangle films, “Congruent Triangles,” “Similar Triangles” and “Journey to the Center of a Triangle,” carrying “Trio’s” style into a completely computer-generated world.
