The producers donated the $10,000 Beech Energy cash prize the film won at Shorts Film Festival Adelaide, back to the actors’ community in Port Augusta, South Australia. We did so via the construction of a BMX track right in the heart of the community.
The producers wish to acknowledge the traditional owners of the land and sea where the film was shot, the Boon Wurrung people. To Boon Wurrung elders past and present – thankyou for sharing your wind, your water, your sun and your sea with us.
The producers also with to acknowledge the immense support, love and guidance shown to them by Aunty Lavene and her council of elders in the Davenport community of Port Augusta, South Australia, and also Aunty Fay Stewart-Muir, Aunty Carolyn Briggs, Uncle Russell Smith and our constant guide and cultural teacher, Uncle Bob Randall, of Uluru, Central Australia.
A massive, heartfelt thanks to our amazing cast and crew, led by Wyntah, Lartrell, Marcia, Aziel, Gina Black, Jane Usher, Sue Murray, Nick Batz and the craziest, most beauitful, most brilliant maned-lensman in Oz – Ian Jones ACS. This film would never have happened without you.
Finally, we’d like to thank every single film-maker, festival volunteer, international host, audience member and friend of the film we met along the way. You know who you are. Hope to see you again soon!
Cheers, ADMT
