A THANKSGIVING THOUGHT
by Bobbi Katz
The day I give thanks for having a nose
Is Thanksgiving Day, for do you suppose
That Thanksgiving dinner would taste as good
If you couldn’t smell it? I don’t think it would.
Could apple pie baking—turkey that’s basting
Not be for the smelling? Just be for tasting?
It’s a cranberry-cinnamon-onion bouquet!
Be thankful for noses on Thanksgiving Day.

Dancing on my shoulders, dancing on my head
Dancing on my knees now tuck him into bed.

Dancing on my shoulders, dancing on my head
Dancing on my knees now tuck him into bed.
Taylor Tall is up and Taylor Tall is down

Dancing on my shoulders, dancing on my head
Dancing on my knees now tuck him into bed.

Dem Bones
Lyrics:
Dem bones, dem bones, dem dry bones.
Dem bones, dem bones, dem dry bones.
Dem bones, dem bones, dem dry bones.
Now hear the word of the Lord.
The toe bone connected to the heel bone,
The heel bone connected to the foot bone,
The foot bone connected to the leg bone,
The leg bone connected to the knee bone,
The knee bone connected to the thigh bone,
The thigh bone connected to the back bone,
The back bone connected to the neck bone,
The neck bone connected to the head bone,
Oh, hear the word of the Lord.
Dem bones, dem bones, dem dry bones.
Dem bones, dem bones, dem dry bones.
Dem bones, dem bones, dem dry bones.
Now hear the word of the Lord.
The head bone connected to the neck bone,
The neck bone connected to the back bone,
The back bone connected to the thigh bone,
The thigh bone connected to the knee bone,
The knee bone connected to the leg bone,
The leg bone connected to the foot bone,
The foot bone connected to the heel bone,
The heel bone connected to the toe bone,
Oh, hear the word of the Lord.
Tooth Family
This little baby only has two teeth
Just two teeth, just two teeth
One on top and one beneath
And he drinks milk all day long
This little girl says, “What shall I do?
I had my teeth but I’ve lost two.”
Her mother says, “Suzie, I can say to you,
You’ll soon grow plenty more.”
This is my mother and she keeps hers clean
Brush, brush, brush, see what I mean
This is my mother and she keeps hers clean
And she chatters all day long
My grandad he only has two teeth
Just two teeth, just two teeth
One on top and one beneath
So he wears false teeth all day
Clean them in the morning and at night
Children, grown-ups, keep them bright
Then when you’re old if you did it right
You’ll still have all your teeth
“Don’t forget now children
Every night and every morning
Brush, brush, brush,
Carefully now!”

Put your finger in the air
Put your finger in the air, in the air;
Put your finger in the air, in the air;
Put your finger in the air
And leave it about a year;
Put your finger in the air, in the air.
Put your finger on your head, on your head;
Put your finger on your head, on your head;
Put your finger on your head
Tell me if it’s green or red?
Put your finger on your head on your head.
Put your finger on your nose, on your nose;
Put your finger on your nose, on your nose;
Put your finger on your nose
And feel the cold wind blow;
Put your finger on your nose, on your nose.
Put your finger on your shoe, on your shoe;
Put your finger on your shoe, on your shoe;
Put your finger on your shoe
And leave it a day or two;
Put your finger on your shoe, on your shoe.
Put your finger on your chin, on your chin;
Put your finger on your chin, on your chin;
Put your finger on your chin –
That’s where the food slips in;
Put your finger on your chin, on your chin.
Put your finger on your cheek, on your cheek;
Put your finger on your cheek on your cheek;
Put your finger on your cheek
And leave it about a week;
Put your finger on your cheek, on your cheek.
Put your finger on your finger, on your finger;
Put you finger on your finger, on your finger;
Put your finger on your finger,
On your finger on your finger;
Put your finger on your finger, on your finger.
Put your fingers all together, all together;
Put your fingers all together, all together;
Put your fingers all together
And we’ll clap for better weather;
Put your fingers all together, all together.
Variants:
Put your finger in the air, in the air.
Put your finger in the air, in the air.
Put your finger in the air, and hold it right up there.
Put your finger in the air, in the air.
Put your finger on your nose, on your nose.
Put your finger on your nose, on your nose.
Put your finger on your nose, and see if it grows.
Put your finger on your nose, on your nose.
Put your finger on your ear, on your ear.
Put your finger on your ear, on your ear.
Put your finger on your ear, and leave it there a year.
Put your finger on your ear, on your ear.
Put your finger on your finger, on your finger.
Put your finger on your finger, on your finger.
Put your finger on your finger, leave it there, let it linger.
Put your finger on your finger, on your finger.

You put your left arm in, your left arm out
In out, in out, you shake it all about
You do the Hokey Cokey and you turn around
That’s what it’s all about
Whoa-o the Hokey Cokey

Whoa-o the Hokey Cokey
Knees bent, arms stretched
Raa raa raa
